Gameday Poster Design for UMD Women's Basketball Team
For my internship at UMD I was tasked to come up with a new game day poster for the team and these designs show my progress from start to finish on creating these designs with the last one being my final.
This was my final design. I needed to include the logo for each team playing, the time of the event, where it is located, I needed to use team colors, and had to clearly indicate that it was game day. So, I decided to create some sort of frame with a picture of a player in the middle because this was a typical theme throughout sports for gameday posters. I used Maryland colors to create the framing with game day written around it with a glow to attract attention to it. I needed a spot for the team logos, so I put them at the bottom of the design. I chose that position because a viewer would look first at the middle and see that it is game day and then look down to see who's playing, where, and what time. Then to finish it I added some grain to create more texture and some white paint markings just to add to the design.
